During 2006, Nigel Watson - the Managing Director of Q4 Solutions - was selected to participate in a programme run by KPMG, aimed at business entrepreneurs. The scheme is also used as a training ground for KPMG’s own key staff, being groomed for fast-track promotion to partner status.
Each entrepreneur was allocated a group of between five and seven top flight KPMG Directors at a three day workshop to dissect their business and forensically examine at least one of its key challenges. The workshop also featured guest speaker appearances from Simon Woodruffe (the founder of Yo-Sushi!) and Lord John Stevens (former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police) amongst others.
These KPMG Directors continued to input their specialist knowledge into the business, adding significant energy and expertise at a time of significant growth and change. Indeed, they have been instrumental in helping to prepare Q4 for their forthcoming participation in the Leadership and Performance Academy with the Royal Navy and Flagship Training.
Asked to comment, Managing Director Nigel Watson said: “2006 has been a remarkable year for Q4 Solutions, and without this (KPMG) programme we wouldn’t have been able to achieve nearly as much. Indeed, they have been instrumental in helping to prepare Q4 for their forthcoming participation in a large, strategic joint venture. More importantly, I am now entirely confident in our ability to move from strength to strength and to compete with the very best.” |
